Eowyn's Ice Blue Coat & Victory Underdress
The coat was listed in publicity photos as being in the House of Healing,. However, the background is the Rohan throne room. It turns out to be from a deleted scene. The underdress is also part of the Victory Outfit. DescriptionIce Blue CoatLong coat of ice blue wool. Lined with white wool. No fastenings. Not fitted. Trained in back. (Though model reference photos show it pooling in front, that is doubtful.) Sleeves look like they sit slightly off the shoulder,, which is standard for many coats.. They flare and are very wide at the wrist. They reach almost to the floor. They are turned back at the cuff. Unfolded, they would be as long as her fingertips. Plush white fur collar covers neck to shoulder at the sides and comes almost to a "V" in front half way to the waist. Victory UnderdressSimple fitted gown of a light blue matelasse fabric. Called "egg shell blue" in the ROTK EE DVD commentary. Fabric pattern is floral with lots of leaves. Small V neck with 6 small buttons down the front. Edge of neck is bound in small self made bias tape. Low empire waist. No train. (Just looks like it because of the short model). Invisible zipper down back. Looks like there is partial yoke down the front to the empire waist. Sleeves are set in. Fit to the elbow and then widen out . Fingertip length. Bag lined in plain silk, outer edge piped in gold.
