Aragorn's Black Gate Armor (Elessar)

aka Aragorn's Royal Armor

Layer Breakdown

black woolen trouser (is rather tight-fitting so may actually be hose)
heavy black boots with steel plates over the foot and greaves - standard riding boots
red linen shirt (maybe a new one, brighter red and in better shape than that seen in Edoras)
maille shirt and "skirt" (also new... definitely not the borrowed one from Helm's deep). Shirt is only hip length and split up the back where it ties with laces to a leather edging; short belt buckles at neck. Sleeves go below elbow. Maille skirt belts around the waist and is also split up the back and Center Front. Length is down to the high ankle.
steel and boiled leather pauldrons edged in gold, and engraved with feathers
rebraces: 2 layers of black leather with a metallic ornament, one buckle strap above the biceps. Winged crown & stars . Same as in the coronation armor
new vambraces and gauntlets
- two layers of leather, ornamented with 3 pieces metallic Gondorian Wing designs sculpted in 2 different designs, 2 buckle straps
red velvet sleeveless robe with gold piping and design on mandarin collar; 3 silver buttons from throat to waist each engraved with a star of Gondor
black (garment weight) leather sleeveless surcoat edged in gold with the White Tree and 7 stars embroidered on the front. Center front closes with hooks and eyes
black cloak lined with red attached to the shoulders of the black surcoat
