Aragorn's Kit and Weapons

• 18 copies were made of the ring by Jasmine Watson and her staff.  A 22 kt gold version with tourmaline was used for the close-up.  Lesser rougher version were used for the rest. (from JCK Interview)

  • Viggo Mortensen loved his Barahir ring so much that Peter and Fran commissioned Jasmine to replicate it in precious metals for his birthday.  On days when Viggo knew they'd be shooting closeups (such as the end coronation scene), he'd bring his own ring to wear.

• The 'bedroll' is a coarse grey woolen blanket, with a brown leather covering strapped over it. The straps are of the same leather.
