Faramir's Battle Outfit

His armor is close to the standard Gondorian armor but their are some differences.

(writeup up still to happen... any volunteers?)

Faramir goes battle in a suicide mission in full armor against the orc army.  Later he is carried to the funeral pyre and we see his undertunic.  It is hard to tell if it's one or two layers.

The inner layer is black, short sleeve, high colored.  Probably wool. The collar is silver trimmed as is the  center front.  It looks three quarter length.  It will be split front and back.

The olive tunic is sleeveless, no collar and open down the front.  It lays so perfectly with the black that it almost look like it is tacked onto the black at neck and collar.   It is a cotton velvet that has been heavily aged, especially at the shoulder.

The chain maille is supposedly under the black, but it looks more like it's a movie magic sleeve that's just attached.  There isn't enough bulk under the tunics.

For exhibit photos of his armor in exhibit, see his Coronation Garb.

Haven't been able to find any in-play pictures of the tunic... but here's a site with some caps... you'll have to dig for them: http://www.framecaplib.com/lotrlib/html/episodes/indices/rotk/thumb48.htm
