The Academy recognizes legendary production executive Irving Thalberg
(1899-1936) with a major gallery exhibition featuring unpublished
photographs, enlightening documents, poster art, props and costumes from
motion pictures overseen by Hollywood’s original “Boy Wonder.” ... The
exhibition includes portraits by George Hurrell and Clarence Bull of many of
Thalberg’s stars.... Also on display will be costumes designed by Adrian and
set designs by Cedric Gibbons.

Costume Exhibit running regularly in LA
Arclight Cinema's Costume Exhibits
The Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood and Sherman Oaks put up rotating
displays of movie costumes and props from films they are currently showing.
The Arclight's website does not
keep the costumes listed on the website... but if you sign up for their
newsletter they often mention which costumes are there.... sometimes.
Costumes are normally only there for a few weeks... but you get a close up
look of some of the hottest media costumes out there.... and they allow
photographs! (Yea!) Lighting varies from OK to really lousy.
Sometimes they are in cases, but some are not. It's well worth bringing a
small still cam that likes low light for some great one-time-chance shots.
