California's largest and oldest Celtic Faire
Join Heritage Square explore romantic and historically accurate men’s and
women’s fashions from the late 18th century through the 1940’s. The show
includes an experience of a late afternoon tea, reminiscent of ones taken during
the Victorian era as well as shopping in the museum store.
Don't go to Harlem in ermine and pearls? Well, how about Second &
Manhattan?
Put on your glad rags and discover the clandestine seductions of a little
hideaway 'Off-Manhattan'. Behind a plain door down a dimly-lit alley
in the heart of St. Andrews Square, you'll find men in striped suits & women
in beaded chemises that catch the light as they shimmy to the Charleston.
There, back in the 20s, it's rumored the bathtub gin flowed freely.
Now we're pretty sure we'll be safe from raids, and the hooch is clean, but
we might still serve it in tea cups.
You'll want to be there. Knock three times and whisper the secret password
(to be revealed when you make your reservation). Swellegant people,
deliciously furtive drinks, dancing with abandon, raffles, and a surprise or
two we can't yet reveal. (P.S. Don't tell the attorney general)
Sponsored jointly by the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles (ADSLA) and the St.
Andrews Square Neighborhood Association (SASNA); proceeds will go to the
preservation of historic structures in St. Andrews Square and Art Deco
treasures throughout Los Angeles.
Visit with the inhabitants of the "Village of Falconbridge" and view scenes
of one of San Diego's most beautiful Parks. The age of chivalry will be
recreated among the wonders of nature in this idealic setting. Travel back to a
distant place in time to share memories and the glories of the reign of
Elizabeth the First.
"...Celebrate the 1880's at a free public day on April 23, 2006. The weekend

at a barn dance! Play hoops and tug-o-war or enter a sack race". Demos of
quilting, wood crafting and other skills. Live music

Festival) "Join us as we celebrate the vision of celebrated fantasy authors. If
you have an inkling of whom we speak, you will know that all tree spirits,
wizards, fauns, elves, fairies, dragons, short sturdy folk, pint-sized folk and
other mythical beings are welcome." Costumes welcome from fantasy to medieval.
"Enjoy the fun, food, music, entertainment, shopping and a
thought-provoking, educational, soul-satisfying celebration of Medieval
