Here we feature costumes from our folks who have recreated some of the
citizens from Hobbiton.
Work here represents recreations at all skill levels.

Rosie's Wedding Dress

Aurora Celeste - Louisiana, USA
Pattern: Bodice from McCall's pattern 4107 view B -
heavily modified. Skirts using McCall's pattern 4090 view A - not
modified, but shortened. Apron, Sleeves, and Underskirt were all
self-drafted patterns.
Fabrics: Bodice - Silk Duppioni; canvas, muslin,
flannel linings. Skirt - Silk Duppioni; Polyester Organza interlining on
both layers. Sleeves - Polyester Embroidered Chiffon. Apron - Polyester
Embroidered Chiffon, Cotton Voile; Polyester Sun Silky lining.

Frodo
 |
Tegan - Canada For my first LOTR costume I
chose Frodo. The only thing I sewed was the cape (with help form
Grandma), the hobbit suite was bought from various second hand stores.
For the fellowship cape I used the pattern from your website. I only
have sewn one clothing garment before this so it was a bit of a struggle
getting things sorted out, but I am pleased with the results. The fabric
I picked was a sporting material and slightly heavy. |
