Faramir's Coronation Mantle

The mantle is a lined half circle just fastened on his shoulder pauldrons.  It is a deep blue cotton velvet.  It is lined in a blue-grey/slate silk.  It does not train, but is longer than the T-tunic.  It is probably just a half circle of 60" wide fabric.

The mantle lays across the pauldrons with no visible means of support.  Given it it lined with silk, this would fall off his shoulders if he breathed.  There are invisible ties or buckles that secure the mantles to the armor

The straight edge has a two inch wide strip of very ornate embroidery attached.  The trim is massive blooms more than 1 1/2 inches wide connected with an undulating stem with leaves.  Almost all of this is worked in gold bullion.  The center of each flower is very 3-D with raised wire work that coils in a rosette.  Stems and leaves are bullion.  The edge looks to be short milky white bugle beads and a row of bullion.  (However, given that the picture is blurry, the row inside the buggles could be small couched gold cord.  If so, then stem would be cord also.)  The stem only undulates one direction so each pattern is identical, not alternating.
