Jen RD - Washington, USAI made Eowyn's Green dress from Simplicity 9891, using some gorgeous dark green cotton velvet from www.Fabric.com and an abstract leafy patterned quilting cotton from JoAnn's for the sleeve lining and bodice. I trimmed the yoke with a piece of tea-dyed guipure or venise lace that started out white and gold. The white was far too bright and the tea-dying changed it to look more like the trim in the pictures. I modified the pattern by making the bodice and skirt separately, attaching them at the waist seam. I used the upper sleeve from the pattern, but drafted my own version from the elbow down. The belt was made from four inexpensive belts purchased in the LA garment district. I took them apart and reattached the sunbursts to each other. See more pictures of Jen's costumes
