Eowyn's KO & WW Gowns

Melanie - Germany

I only made the vest.  The blue dress is one of my medieval costumes.  The vest pattern was from www.koshka-the-cat.com and I think it was a great one.

The fabric for the dress was linen and the vest is made of velvet.

See more pictures on the dress and embroidery on her website.

Lady of Gondor

See Bree's Aragorn costume

Bree - Pennsylvania, USA

This is obviously not a genuine LOTR costume, only a piece inspired by it.  This is the cape I made for my mother for Christmas.

I used the pattern on Alley Cat Scratch for the tree.  I printed it out on normal printer sized paper, went to kinko's, had it doubled in size,

I bought faux white suede, copied the pattern onto it, cut it out, used special fabric decorating glue to attach to cape using wooden frame to hold the material taut. Also, I cut off the tips of the triangles that made the hood so it could be rolled up easily to reveal back pattern when not in use.

Beaded Eowyn Circlet

Margareta - Germany

It is  very easy and made of tiny silver and golden glass beads. I could not get the right flower shaped settings so I used brass beadcaps which I curved up to get flat settings for the blue round-style Swarovski beads.

See her Arwen Butterfly Crown.
