Yellow silk floor-length car coat with leather collar and cuffs and pleated silk skirt.  Costume designed by Edith Head for Maggie DuBois (Natalie Wood) in "The Great Race" (1965).  Costumes for the film designed by Edith Head and Donfeld.
       
Full length - note some of these photo are very high rez.  They will take a while to load Side angles, note tabs and seams

(The bright yellow here is the most accurate color.  The veil is also the same bright yellow, but the silk tule with the black background fades out the true color.)
Note the high bust seaming on the side Princess seaming creates the shape on this close fitting coat
 
  Note the fine detailing on the leather buttons.  The woven fabric of the coat does have this fine texture... but it is a single yellow color.
This tab is on the back of the coat at knee level.  Note slit. CU detail of the tab.
 
Cuff detail  
Silk tule veil is dyed to match the coat.  To figure out the pattern you'll need to watch the veil in action in the movie.
