I'm matching folks now!!!!  Contact me up to the Thursday night before.

Why stay and share a room?

Costume College has actives both Friday and Saturday night. Monday there is  the LA Garment District tour that leaves early.   If you stay at the hotel, you spend more time participating in all the fun and less time driving.  Besides, if you stay at the hotel, they have a full breakfast that is free.

By participating in roommate matching, you will have the fun of more time at Costume College and still save money. Consider sharing a room and meet your fellow costumers.

You may need just one extra person for the room or be looking for a group of folks.  You may need just one night of matching if you're staying longer than your friends.  All of this may be possible.

What questions need answers for a match?

What you need to do is drop me a line answering a couple of questions.

bullet What nights are you looking for roommates for??
bullet How many people do you want to room with?
bullet Non-smoker/smoker/doesn't matter?
bullet Male/Female/doesn't matter?

Send your answers with your name and phone number both to CatDevereaux@AlleyCatScratch.com or 818-623-8601.  Your phone number is important because matching includes a number of people not on e-mail.

I am now accepting requests. Matching starts mid-June, but the more folks I get in advance, the closer I can get your exact request.

I will try to match you with others who wish to share a room based on the above questions.  Anything else, you need to make your own decision after talking to the other folks who's numbers you've been given .

Once you are given a phone number/s of a possible match, I'll figure you're set unless you give me a call back (so please follow though).  You make the actual contact.  You make your own room reservations.

It's that easy... and remember, staying  makes the whole experience even more rewarding! Even if it's the week before the College, don't despair, call 818-623-8601 or mail CatDevereaux@AlleyCatScratch.com anyway.

I can't guarantee an exact match to your requests but over the year's we've had a fair amount of luck. I'll let you know up front, we have trouble matching smokers and mixed or male rooms but have succeeded sometimes.  So go ahead and ask!

More about Costume College

Costume College is an educational weekend that celebrates the art of costuming.  It is held every year in the Greater Los Angeles area and is sponsored by the Costumer's Guild West, a chapter of the International Costumer's Guild.  The event is pre-registration only but the shopping is open free to everyone.
