King Kong Costume, 1933
Directed by Merian C. Cooper, Ernest B. Schoedsack; Wardrobe by
Edith Beach & Tommy Clark
The 1933 King Kong movie is a pivotal time in movie history. For the first time, one
of the screen stars in an effect - a stop motion puppet. However, the
living human actors frame his scenes helping breath life into him with their
interaction. These characters have a lot
of action. Their outfits all have a lot of movement built in... but
each in a different way.
There has not been time to do any write-ups or detailed studies for these
