Monique - NetherlandsEresseaWhat patterns: Well, I don’t know that anymore… I borrowed this pattern from a friend, it was from Simplicity, but I forgot the number. At the front there were two ladies, one had a white dress, with hat, and the other had a pink dress. I modified it quite a lot. It was originally one colour, I made the middle a second colour (red), and the sleeve was originally a transparent material. I’ve made it double, and I made the two patterns that were in it as one. The hood can be attached to the dress with little invisible press studs.
What fabric: The black is some sort of cotton, what exactly I don’t know, I bought it on a market. When I saw it, and felt is, I just wanted to have it! The red fabric is quite strange, in the light or shade it changes from red to yellow. There was already embroider on when I bought it. It is some kind of fabric that is used for gala-dresses. Extra: Most of these pics are taken the first time I wore the dress, at the Elf Fantasy Fair (at a castle =D) in the Netherlands. I’ve got other dresses also, but they are made for a move I am making, and are not LotR-related, and not quite beautiful I think. Most of them is made from old clothes, and curtains. It’s in Dutch, to see the costumes, click on ‘foto’s’ in the left screen, or click on a name under ‘personages’ and then klick on ‘kostuum’ (I am Myrna there, and I think Elsin’s costume is the most beautiful)
