Anita's Examples - NorwayMorwenInspired by Eowyn's dresses, I made this for the ROTK premiere ticket queue in Oslo. October temperatures in Norway are quite cool, so I needed something to keep me warm! The dress is made from half-woven green wool mixture, flat-lined with green cotton jersey. The sleeves are bag-lined though. The pattern is a seven-panel, drafted from scratch. The sleeves are two pieces, with a seam at the elbow. I made a collar-piece which I hand-embroidered quite heavily before attaching it to the dress, so that the backside of the embroidery doesn't show. A mandarin collar is attached to the embroidered piece and the rest of the neckline. I also hand-embroidered a belt to go with the dress. It fastens in the back with two green-and-golden thread braids.
