Sarah & Family - Austria

Sam's Fellowship Outfit

my nephew, Luca

Fabrics & Materials:

bulletA half yard of light linen in greyish cream for the shirt
bulletA half yard of grey wool fabric for the vest, which we painted with light stripes
bullet1 yard of dark grey smooth wool fabric for the coat
bullet1 yard of medium weight linen in grey for the trousers
bulleta half yard of brown tweed for the suspenders
bullet1 yard of the elven coat fabric from Stansborogh fibres (I simply love that fabric!)

General Description:

My little nephew wore this to the ringcon2004 and it was quite difficult to sew it because he was really horrified of needles. So he just tried it on about 2 times and then very very fast.

There is a shirt with slightly puffy sleeves and a turn down collar which is sewn through with a light yarn. In the back it is pleated and it closes with 8 buttons. The trouser reaches to his calf and is closed by a button in the back and held by suspenders. Over this there is a vest which is closed by silver black buttons and lined. The coat is longer than the vest and closed by dark buttons. Over that all the fellowship cloak is worn, but unfortunately I had not enough fabric for a hood.

Accessories:

bulletElven leaf brooch from fimo, coloured in green and silver
