Tootsie Proudfoot and Frogo

Patterns used - Simplicity 8855, for Tootsie's vest and Frogo's shirt. Frogo's pants and Tootsie's skirt were made with no pattern.

Fabric - Faux suede was used for both vests, and Frogo's pants.

Notes - Tootsie's wig was a cheap costume wig, which worked surprisingly well for how little we spent on it. Her headband was a store bought one, which we painted green and glued the little red roses onto.

Both Hobbits' ears are Woochie ears (although Tootsie's started out red instead of flesh coloured, making them slightly more annoying to paint!). Both were painted to match each hobbits' skin tone.

Frogo's had been made for another costume but worked well with this one, too (using Simplicity 8855). The vest was made using a vest pattern we had on hand already. The pants were made with no pattern.

Tootsie vest was made using Simplicity 8855. Gold grommets were used for the front with red string for the lacings. Eyelets were added at the shoulders. The top was made with a pattern we had on hand (not sure the number). The skirts were made with no pattern. The under (white) skirt is edged in lace.

Both hobbits' feet were "Monster Feet" which were trimmed down to fit each hobbit, and completely repainted to match their skin tones. (Also painted on wrinkles on the toes, and nailpolish for Tootsie - she insisted!). The top was coated on clear elmer's glue, with doll's hair added on top (brown for Toosie, strawberry blond for Frogo).

These costumes were made for Dragoncon 2004, and managed to survive the Evening at Bree, the parade, and the Sunday night LOTR gathering (must to our amazement :)
