This is the dress that I made for the Renaissance Faire last summer,
and it was a lot of fun! The chemise has a simple full circle
skirt, and the top is self lined with a short zipper in the back.
The sleeves are made with a short, puffy upper sleeve, while the
lower sleeve is about a yard of fabric sewn onto the upper part. It
is tied with rope.
The corset was drafted by hand, taking several measurements and
numerous fittings! It closes with grommets in the back and leather
cording. It is made of suedecloth (not real :) The vest underneath
it closes with grommet at the sides and the same leather cording,
and is made of a cotton/polyester blend.
The necklace is made of fimo that I baked in the oven, with
Swarovski crystals; I also have earrings but you can't see them
here. This dress was so much fun to make and wear!!
