Rich

I modify pieces of clothing I found at thrift stores.  I don't sew at all, so everything you see is pinned together.  The elven cloaks are just green chenille throws used for my sofas!

As for the jewelry, I printed out the images of LOTR jewelry sold online, lamented the images and then taped the leaf brooches to a safety pin, hung Arwen's pendant from an old chain, and used Aluminum foil to complete Aragorn's ring.

The Ranger Strider

The long brown travel doublet I modified by opening the stitched seams on the sides and adding grommets and leather lacing. On the chain maille (which I also bought) I opened up the front neck area and added some leather strips (similar to that which I saw in the first TTT trailer).

Bob                        USA

My faire persona is based on: the ranger Strider from The Lord of the Rings.  As I've been building my faire character from before the first of the Peter Jackson movies was released, much of my garb is NOT taken from the movie. I've tried to stick to Tolkien's color description of 'browns and greens', and only use black when I absolutely have to.

The brown musketeer style hat is related to images of Strider by the Brothers Hildebrandt.  My two largest garb issues at the moment are finding 'Brown pants' in the style that I like and upgrading the boots.

Aragorn - $10 and 2 hours
Legolas $25 and 5 hours

Robin        Canada
