Estela  - Spain

Arwen's Blood Red Gown

   

I wore this gown at the Carnival of Almeria (Spain).

In order to make the dress, I studied the numerous photographs and examples that there are in your web. The pattern I made from by hand drafting it.

The under dress fabrics are a combination of  midnight blue polyester, red brocade and blood red polyester velvet. The over dress neck band is made of the same brocade as the upper sleeves of the under gown. For the rest I used midnight blue polyester velvet.

I bought the thick gold trim from a local merchant.

I completed my disguise with a medieval wig and the evenstar necklace. In addition I added elf ears.
