Sauron - Halloween shortcuts

Here we present some shortcuts from our members.

OK, this isn't his costume, but it's a nice shortcut for for accessories.

Sauron's Mace

I've been trying for a while to make a replica of the Lord Sauron's mace in the last alliance of elves and men. I have finally found a cheap inexpensive way of making it. the way I made it was I took the largest dowel I could find in Lowes and took some extra boards I had laying around after another project cut four triangles out of the board approximately the size of one and a half pencil lengths, shaped them to fit onto the dowel and glued them on with Elmer's glue *no screws, screws are bad, wood glue is your friend* I then proceeded to shape the mace blades with a dermal of course sand it down to a nice smooth surface and paint the whole thing with a chrome spray paint do that for five layers and then to make it have a more iron like appearance take some black spray paint hold it away from the mace and put a very light spray of paint on it. *note* when you get the dowel take about a foot and a half off of it.
