Howlin' Halloween - Events for Dogs

Halloween isn't just for the two legged folks, let the 4 legged ones play too!  Below are places where both you can your pet can play in costume.

Let the dogs come out and play!  We haven't found events for cats yet, please let us know if you find any.

Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade & Canine Costume Contest

 As the title says, this is a doggie costume contest!!!  Bring your pet and howl with the pampered pooches in  the Belmount Shores area. 

Hundreds of dogs expected!  And, a few thousand spectators will line the parade route which will be on the sidewalks of Second Street  See website for parade map. Parade 2:30 .  Prizes of a year's dog food for best costume, best group and best "float".

Besides the costume contest and parade, bulldog kissing booth, bobbing for Howl'oWeenies, look-a-like contest and more.  Super pet adoption fair. Bulldog Kissing Booth - SLURP!

Annual West Hollywood Doggy Halloween Costume Contest  

 Come on by and enter your pet in the annual Halloween costume contest. Great prizes for guardians and pets will be awarded in several different categories including: Scariest Costume, Look-Alike (pet and guardian), Most Creative Costume, Most Colorful Costume and Best Costume.  Certificate to all participants.

Canceled for 2007 

 Pet fair and Doggy Costume Contest judged by a sparkling celebrity panel.  Angels and devils, cowboys and Indians, rappers and opera singers all drooling like dogs?  Costumed canines will once again take over Brentwood for an afternoon of kooky and spooky howl-o-ween fun. Attendees of all ages with two, or four legs are invited.     

Also included are a Kids’ entertainment zone, dog adoptions, mobile microchip clinic, doggy masseuse; pet psychic; vendors; artists; animal agility demonstrations. Catering by Brentwood Village restaurants.

Much Love Animal Rescue is a 100% nonprofit, no-kill organization.  Barking contests since 2001.

The Rescue Train

 Annual run for the rescue -- rescue animals that is.  5 k run walk for adults and a 1k non-competition race for the kids.  While not billed as a Halloween event, there is a kids costume contest after the race and you'll see both dogs and cats in costume.  If you don't want to run, bring your pet out for a fun day. If you don't have a pet yet, consider adoption. A number of groups will have dogs and cats out there.
